Using WireTap Studio Recording Sessions

Recording sessions allow you to preset all of the settings related to a recording - source, format, effects, anything necessary for a recording - and save them for quick and easy use. Sessions can be set to open a file or URL in the application of your choice and record at whatever settings you choose.

Sessions can also be scheduled to record at any time, even when your computer is asleep or even powered off. WireTap Studio will automatically power up your machine at the scheduled time, launch the stream of your choice and record for as long as you have scheduled. Never worry about missing your favorite streaming broadcast again.

Note: In order for WireTap Studio to auto wake or power up your computer for a scheduled session, that option has to be set in the general pane of the WireTap Studio preferences and must be enabled by entering an admin's username and password.

Go to the WireTap Studio Window menu and select Recording Sessions. Click on New to create a new session, or Edit to change the settings of an existing session.
